With the daily rising gas prices we all need to make sure that the car we are driving is getting the best gas mileage it can get.

Just a few things that will help you save on gas:

check you tire pressure - most cars have the p.s.i. rating on the sticker on the driver door jam.

check your air filter - one of the easiest things to replace on your car. dont have those oil change places rip you off.

check your spark plugs, cap, and rotor - in some cars the plugs can be hard to get to but even changing out the cap and rotor will help.

take my advice when changing them yourself for the first time:

1) unscrew or unclip the cap and leave the wires on and move it to the side
2) pull or unscrew the old rotor and replace it with the new one
3) install the new cap
4) with the old and new cap facing the same way remove and install the wires one at a time

Doing these minor repairs to your car will help you save money at the pump
and they will pay for themselfs in just a few months.

The challenge facing the development of air filter elements lies in the installation space prescribed for them, which is often very small and requires flexible geometrical shaping of the elements whilst at the same time meeting stringent requirements for filter performance.
The new inline filter system from MANN+HUMMEL with its highly compact air filter elements meets these requirements. The compact air filter elements consist of a large number of channels arranged in parallel with one another and alternately enclosed. Inside the air stream enters from the raw air side and is conducted through the filter paper so that it can flow out again through the neighboring open channel on the pure air side.

Modern injection systems are more sensitive than previous versions and are therefore much more demanding regarding fuel filtration.

The new MANN+HUMMEL filter media, MULTIGRADE F have been developed for diesel and petrol engines and fulfill the highest standards demanded for fuel filter elements. By the multi-layer structure the finest particles are kept off from the sensitive injection equipment. Concerning the particle retention capacity MULTIGRADE F media have 100% higher performance compared with current cellulose media.

In Diesel fuel applications MULTIGRADE F provides nearly complete water separation. This way corrosion damages are avoided in the injection system.
